Know your real margin
Revenue minus fees is not profit. Add material costs, shipping labels, packaging and your time before deciding a price is 'good'. The break-even price in the results shows the minimum you can charge without losing money.
See exactly what Etsy takes from a sale — listing, transaction, payment processing, regulatory and Offsite Ads fees — then set a price that protects your profit.
Every Etsy sale involves up to five different fees. The calculator above reads the same 2026 rate schedule shown here — select your shop country to see the exact numbers that apply to you.
Publishing a listing costs $0.20 and keeps it active for four months; each time the item sells, the listing auto-renews for another $0.20, so multi-quantity orders pay the fee per unit. On every sale Etsy also charges 6.5% of the total order amount — the item price plus whatever you charge the buyer for shipping and gift wrap.
When a buyer pays through Etsy Payments, a processing fee is deducted from the order total. The rate depends on where your shop's bank account is registered: 3% + $0.25 in the United States, 4% + £0.20 in the United Kingdom, 4% + €0.30 in most of the Eurozone. The table below lists the 2026 rates for major seller countries.
Etsy advertises listings on Google, social networks and partner sites. If a shopper clicks one of those ads and purchases within 30 days, the order carries an Offsite Ads fee of 15% of the order total, capped at $100. Shops with at least $10,000 in sales over the prior 365 days pay 12% instead and are enrolled automatically. Orders that don't come from an ad click never pay this fee.

Sellers registered in nine countries pay an additional regulatory operating fee on the item price plus shipping — from 0.05% in India to 1.97% in Hungary (rates effective June 22, 2026). Separately, if you list in a currency different from your payment account currency, Etsy charges a 2.5% currency conversion fee on the sale amount; listing in your payout currency avoids it.
New shops pay a one-time, non-refundable setup fee — typically between $15 and $29 — when opening. It is charged once and never again, so it is not part of the per-sale calculation above, but it is worth knowing about before you launch.

Etsy's 6.5% transaction fee also applies to what you charge buyers for shipping. If you offer 'free shipping', build that cost into the item price so the fee base — and your margin — stays predictable.
You can't choose which orders come from ad clicks. Stress-test your pricing with the 15% rate; if the margin still works, ad-driven sales stay profitable instead of surprising you.
For a US seller, Etsy typically charges a $0.20 listing fee, a 6.5% transaction fee on the item price plus shipping and gift wrap, and an Etsy Payments processing fee of 3% + $0.25. On a $35 item with $4.99 shipping that works out to about $4.25 in fees, before product and shipping costs.
The 6.5% transaction fee is charged on every sale and applies to the item price plus what you charge for shipping and gift wrap. The payment processing fee is separate: it covers Etsy Payments card processing and varies by country — 3% + $0.25 in the US, 4% + £0.20 in the UK, 4% + €0.30 across most of the Eurozone.
If a buyer clicks an ad Etsy places off-site and then buys from you within 30 days, Etsy charges 15% of the order total, capped at $100 per order. Shops that made $10,000 or more in the past 365 days pay a discounted 12% and are enrolled automatically. Only orders attributed to an Offsite Ad pay this fee — switch it off in the calculator to see your baseline fees.
It is an extra percentage charged to sellers registered in certain countries, applied to the item price plus shipping. As of June 22, 2026 the rates are: Canada 0.50%, France 1.14%, Hungary 1.97%, India 0.05%, Italy 0.80%, Spain 0.88%, Türkiye 1.67%, United Kingdom 0.48% and Vietnam 1.24%. Sellers in the US, Germany, Australia and other countries pay nothing on this line.
Use the reverse pricing mode: enter your costs and a target margin, and the calculator solves for the sale price that delivers it after all fees. Because most Etsy fees are percentage-based, the required price rises steeply as your target margin approaches the total fee rate — if the target is mathematically unreachable, the tool tells you.
